First fixes on the CFTBL, new surprises

The past 3 days have been spent removing all the previous broken by design hacks and fixing things, and running tests to identify further issues. There were surprises, good, and bad :-P

  • The hologram's motor works intermittently, only when fiddling with the triac board's fuse. Looks like a dry solder, or maybe a damaged Triac board, likely considering the next item...
  • The hologram's mirror motor doesn't seem to work. Turns out J104/J105 were inverted (which would mean that the Triac Board received 50VAC instead of the expected 20VAC, though apparently J104 and J105 are wired alike on the board (?)). Still no luck after turning things around, but testing the engine separately shows that it seems functional. I'm definitely suspecting a dead Triac Board
  • J207 and J209 (normally unused) were inverted with respectively J206 and J208

A series of switches still doesn't work: left (47) and right (48) slingshot switches, and bowl (65) switches are not working yet.

After further investigations, it appeared that many solenoids aren't working, (not working at all, or, in the case of the outhole coil, would remain powered on despite the perfectly working switch) and they're all connected to J127. This was one of the worst "surprise" I've got: the whole bank has been hacked and components replaced and poorly soldered. The Power Board needs a complete check up :(

Surprisingly enough, the game sort of works: with little help (putting a ball in the storage start feeder) and hitting Start works somehow, I could score a few points before the ball got stuck near the bumpers. There's hope!
