First checks on the Kiss

After looking around a little bit, we made a quick list of the things that will need attention on the Kiss:

One of the lane guides is almost broken. Plastics have warped, probably due to excessive heat from the General Illumination (GI), and the mylar is done for. There are a few minor scratches on the playfield, but nothing particularly worrying (some refill/repaint work should deal with it nicely). The painting of the cabinet and backbox has faded, the white has turned yellow and the reddish orange is now pretty pale. Blacks have held well though. One of the coils looks a bit baked, and will need to be checked. All the white nylon screw nuts need to be changed, as well as the rubbers, and the decals on both Gene "Demon" Simmons' rollunders ;-)

Regarding the boards, they look generally not too bad, except that the fuses were wrapped in tinfoil *cough cough* and the MPU board shows a great deal of corrosion and a missing IC (a 74L00N quad-NAND gate) and battery. Finally, the rectifier board looks like it's been hacked too much, it will need to be throughly checked, as well as the transformer.

Oh, I almost forgot: the sound module looks interesting: it's a AS-2518-51 whereas docs say we should have a AS-2518-50. We'll see what secrets it holds ;-)
